In 2003 De Wit Speciality Oils aquired the extraction facility New Holland Extraction (NHE). NHE is a UK based specialist in the extraction of niche market oils from seeds including rosehip, evening primrose, borage and blackcurrant, various types of biomass and other products including wheat germ. 

New Holland Extraction is a unique facility that is flexible to produce seed oils by both cold pressing and solvent extraction. As a toll extraction facility they are able to offer seed processing services to customers. Next to this, New Holland Extraction also offers a trial facility. 

Toll extraction

 New Holland Extraction is one of the few niche small scale seed oil toll extractors in Europe, batch sizes ranging from 10MT to 500MT. NHE offers highly specialized services, depending on the customer needs they are able to extract by either cold pressing or hexane extraction. 

Pilot Plant

New Holland Extraction also offers a unique trial facility for both Solvent Extraction and Cold Pressing. This could be a great opportunity for companies who are developing new products or conducting R&D and want to carry out small scale trials before moving onto larger scale production trials.

Solvent Extraction:

• Scale model of main extractor

• Range of different solvents can be used

• Small sample runs - up to 10kg per day

The pilot plant is available for hire on a daily basis. Qualified staff and operatives will assist with running the project.

Cold Pressing:

• Single press facility for small scale trials

• Capacity approx. 30 kg/day

• On site laboratory service available
