At De Wit Speciality Oils, we are constantly expanding our product portfolio to bring high-quality, plant-based oils to our customers. We are thrilled to announce two exciting oils: Star Arvensis Oil™, coming soon, and Camelina Oil, which has recently joined our assortment and is already available for purchase.

Star Arvensis Oil™ is a premium plant-based oil extracted from the seeds of Buglossoides arvensis, known for its exceptional and well-balanced fatty acid profile. Unlike most vegetable oils, it naturally contains three key fatty acids: Stearidonic Acid (SDA), a highly efficient omega-3 that converts to EPA in the body, Alpha-Linolenic Acid (ALA), and Gamma-Linolenic Acid (GLA), providing a unique synergy of both omega-3 and omega-6.

This rare combination supports cardiovascular health, metabolic function, skin integrity, and immune balance, making it an attractive ingredient for nutritional and functional formulations. Our second new addition, Camelina Oil, comes from the seeds of Camelina sativa, also known as “Gold of Pleasure.” This ancient oilseed crop has been rediscovered for its excellent stability, nutritional richness, and sustainable cultivation profile. It’s a versatile choice for both culinary applications and functional food formulations.

Key benefits of Camelina Oil:

  • Naturally high in alpha-linolenic acid (ALA, ≈ 34–42%), an essential omega-3 fatty acid.
