Product information:
Algae Oil

General information

Algae Oil is a clear light amber colored oil that is naturally rich in DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid). The oil production process takes microalgae from a marine environment and places them in a sterile, controlled environment where they produce a highly concentrated DHA rich oil. The oil is extracted from the algae, using a solvent free process that avoids using hexane or similar solvents.

To assure the quality of the oil, processing is conducted under nitrogen to protect against oxidation. Proprietary anti-oxidant tocopherols are added to create a stable ingredient and to inhibit degradation of flavor and odor.

Background / Origin

As more consumers become aware of the possible health benefits of vegan and vegetarian diets, they are turning away from animal sources of Omega-3 and will need to find an alternative. Our Algae Oil provides such a choice. Our oil is vegan, vegetarian and sustainable and can replace the Omega-3 Essential Fatty Acids that are difficult to find in vegan and vegetarian diets.

Our DHA Rich Algae Oil is produced in line with best international practices. The entire production process from microalgae to finished oil takes place in Northern Europe.
